TIP 1: TRIM YOUR WICK
Between burns, trim your wick to ¼ inch before relighting. The shorter height allows the wax to feed the flame properly. Using a wick trimmer, nail clippers or scissors, snip off the black curled part of the wick when trimming.
TIP 2: REACH A FULL MELT POOL ON THE FIRST BURN
When burning your candle for the first time, burn it for long enough that you achieve a full melt pool. This means that the melted wax reaches the edge of the vessel. This helps to avoid tunnelling and ensures an even burn each time.
TIP 3: THINK SAFETY
Safety first, especially when it's an open flame. Do not leave your candle burning unattended, and keep away from pets, children, flowers, drapes, or anything that may catch fire. Burn your candle on an even, heat proof surface. Our vessels are tested thoroughly, however prolonged burning may cause the vessel to heat. Place your candle away from strong drafts - this will help to achieve an even burn too. Once your candle burns down & you have ¼ inch wax left, it's time to wash it out and find a new purpose for your vessel. Put the lid back on between burns, to avoid any dust, debris or bugs from falling into the wax.
TIP 4: BURN FOR MAX 4 HOURS AT A TIME
This prevents the vessel from getting too hot and it means your candle lasts longer too.
